We had a fabulous response last year, so we do encourage you to sign up quickly, as we shall have to restrict numbers to 36. So first come, first served!
We shall be holding our fifth OSGS Golf Day at Cowdray Park Golf Club, an 18 hole, par 70, 6200 yard, parkland golf course, set amongst the beautiful South Downs. This Club is well known to many of you being so close to the College. It is just down the road from the main house of the 16,000 acre estate, and was established in 1904. It is now, without doubt one of the most beautiful courses in the south east, with excellent greens that will test your putting even in winter. The day will start around 10.00, meeting up for coffee & bacon rolls. The golf will start around 11.00 am, hopefully finishing around 4.30pm, followed by a 2 course meal with prize giving.
We will again have two, separate, 3 ball stableford competitions, splitting the field into low and high handicap categories. This is done to encourage higher handicap players to enter and have fun. The maximum handicap for the main competition prizes will be 28 (ladies 36), however there will also be prizes, for longest drives and nearest the pin, which anyone can win even those playing off higher club handicaps. We have posted the entry form on the website so please complete it, follow the instructions for payment of fees, and email the form back to Bob Jarvis. These golf days, including all food and prizes, are not cheap, but we have managed to hold the price at £70, however if you are under 30 years of age, there is a again a concessionary fee of £45.
