In Memory of Lance Sheffield

Seaford was saddened this week to hear of the death of Lance Sheffield who attended the school in the late 1950s. Lance was in Corsica House and became a school prefect. His old friend John Poyntz-Roberts, who was also in Corsica at the same time, said: “Lance was a very genuine person and went on to become a brilliant architect. He will be sorely missed.”

Lance is survived by his wife, Sandy, and his children. The funeral service will be held at noon on Tuesday 29th March at St Lawrence Church, Seal Chart, Sevenoaks, Kent TN15 0LL. It will be followed by cremation in Tunbridge Wells, for family only. A reception after the church service is being held at The Mill House, High Street, Otford TN14 5PH. Parking in Village Car Park, or at the Catholic Church Car Park, a short walk away.

All of us at Seaford College send our sincere condolences to Lance’s family and friends.
