We have learnt the sad news that Old Seafordian, David Greenwood died in hospital on 21st May 2018 at the age of 85.

DAVID GREENWOOD, died in hospital on 21st May 2018 at the age of 85.

With his brother John, he was one of the last pupils to have been at the College in all three locations – SEAFORD (1939 at Westcliff & Homefield Court plus temporary amalgamation with St. Lawrence), then WORTHING (1940 – 1946)  Wykeham House; St. Ronans) and lastly LAVINGTON PARK (1946 – 1948). He was a very gentle sincere Christian deeply involved with the Boys Crusader Movement.

He joined Barclays Bank in 1948 and underwent National Service with the RAF where he gained his wings as a Pilot Officer. David was a keen hockey player and was a member of Brighton & Hove Hockey Club. He retired from Barclays as London Trust Manager in 1995 when he moved to Wilmington, East Sussex. Still a bachelor, he became a keen gardener plus becoming involved in many village activities.

He is survived by elder brother John, 3  nephews, 3 nieces, 5 great nephews 5 great nieces and  1 great grand niece.

A memorial service will be held on 10th July 2018, 2pm - 4pm at Seaford Baptist Church, Belgrave Road, Seaford, BN25 2EE.

There will be a opportunity for people to share tributes/memories.
