Old Seafordian Lara Sturgis, who we reported last year was raising money for the national Sailability Team she represents, has launched a new Crowdfunder prize draw for a signed rugby ball donated by Jonny Wilkinson.

Lara, who has cerebral palsy and is a keen sailor at Frensham Pond Sailability in Surrey, was at Seaford between 2005 and 2012. Sailability helps disabled sailors of all abilities to take up the sport. Last year, she was selected for the Hansa UK team and began to raise money to help the rest of the team get to the Sailability World Championships in Portugal in October this year.

Lara is a big rugby fan and loves his ‘I Am…With Jonny Wilkinson’ podcast. She decided to contact Jonny and mentioned her charity fundraising efforts. He has very kindly donated one of his signed black testimonial rugby balls. To enter the draw for the ball, click here. It is running from now until 18th March, with the prizes being drawn on 19th March.

To follow Lara and Hansa Class UK on social media, and to see how her trip to the World Championships progresses, search for @larasturgis1 @hansaclassuk on Instagram and @LaraSturgis @HansaClassUK on Facebook.

Hansa Class UK is a registered charity: 1165467
