Remembrance 2023

Invite to the Seaford Remembrance Service, Alumni Lunch and Sport
The Remembrance Service in the Seaford College Sports Hall
The Remembrance Service in the Seaford College Sports Hall

Here’s a reminder that Seaford College is inviting all students, parents, staff and alumni to its annual Remembrance Sunday service on 12th November 2023.

The event will bring together current and former students for an extraordinary service. Everyone is asked to be in their seats in the Sports Hall by 10am. After the service, refreshments will be available in the Johnson Centre.

Parking

To ensure parking is efficient and safe, please follow the directions and advice of the event staff directing guests on the day. Parking in front of the Sports Hall is very limited and will be available only for Blue Badge users and those concerned about their mobility. Due to the sheer numbers planning to attend this very popular event, please leave sufficient time to park and walk to the Sports Hall.

Old Seafordian Lunch

After the service, a buffet lunch will be provided for Old Seafordians and governors at Mansion House in the Dining Room. This relaxed occasion is a great opportunity to catch up with alumni. If you would like to attend, please complete this form so we can let our catering team know and guarantee you a place.

Sports

In addition, the traditional Remembrance Sunday sports afternoon is back. This year’s sports will be mixed hockey, netball and golf. If you are interested in taking part in the hockey or netball matches, please email Chris Adams (cadams@seaford.org). If you want to play golf, please email Jack Halsey (jhalsey@seaford.org).

The hockey, netball and golf start at 2pm (meet at the Hockey Pavilion). There will be plenty of refreshments in the Hockey pavilion and spectators are very welcome to come along and enjoy the afternoon.

We look forward to reconnecting with you and I hope you will be able to join in with this very special day on the Seaford College calendar.
