Old Seafordians' News |
A huge thank you to all the Old Seafordians who came from far and wide to last night’s ‘Seaford on Tour’ gathering in London and made it such a success.
More than 100 alumni, spanning nine decades, came along to One Moorgate Place Club to catch up with Seaford teachers and share memories of their time at the school. It was wonderful to see so many people from different generations enjoying each other’s company and making new friends.
Headmaster John Green welcomed guests who had come from across the UK, and from as far as Africa and North America, and spoke of the ‘Seaford spirit’ that bound alumni together.
Outlining the exciting developments at Seaford, he said that there had been a growth in student numbers in recent years to just under 1,000, along with a significant upgrading in facilities. “Seaford is an academic school, but the core ethos of supporting every student individually, is still the same as ever. We are all about nurturing articulate, caring and successful people like those of you here today.”
He also encouraged alumni to keep in touch with Seaford and play a part in the future of its community.
And thank you to the staff at One Moorgate Place for their warm welcome, delicious canapes and excellent service.
• Seaford will soon launch its online Careers Network and is encouraging Old Seafordians to sign up to be mentors. If you’re able to give a few minutes of your time every now and then to help former Seaford College students seeking careers advice, we’d love to hear from you.
